Dowarian (Neelum Vally)



Dowarian is situated about 13 kilometers from Neeluman altitude of 1615 meters. It is surrounded by mountains full of pine trees. About 30 km from here, a track goes deep inside Rattigali Pass, which connects Neelum and Kaghan Valley. A high alpine lake (4000m), Rattigali, also exists in this pass. To get there you need to track or hire mules for the journey.

Chananian (Jehlum Vally)

Chananian, 62 kilometers from Naily & 36 kilometers from Reshian, is situated opposite to Leepa, near the Line of Control (LOC), at an altitude of 2226 meters. Surrounded by thick pin forest and nullah Qazi Naag flowing near by it, Chananian is als a worth seeing place in Jehlum Valley.

Kuttan (Neelum Vally)


Kuttan was second stop in Neelum Vally. A road going west follows the Jagran River and climbs up to Kuttan. There are some rest houses belonging to AJK Tourism department. The rest house is built over the Jagran River, and there is a constant sound of river flowing below. The rest house is surrounded by lush green forest, surrounded by snow covered mountains. The October 8, 2005 earthquake totally devastated this area, and most houses we saw were rebuilt.The Jagran River is said to be filled with trout, and several trout hatcheries have been built near Kutton .

Patikka (Neelum Vally)




Patikka located at a distance of 19 Km from Muzaffarabad, and about 50km from Kohala Bridge, it is a gateway to Neelum valley and can be the first journey break on the way. A mini zoo, some big water falls, river and a fish hatchery have turned the place into a site of diversions.

Pir Chanasi (Muzaffarabad)


Pir Chanasii is a large mountain located on the east of Muzaffarabad city overlooking vast expanses of Azad Kashmir. The mountain peak has gained large fame for its ziyarat of a famous Pir Chanasi altitude is 3110 m, and it is located 32 km east of Muzaffarabad.

Quaid-e-Azam Tourist Lodge Barsalla (Kohala)

Historical tourist lodge Barsalla is located at a distance of 100 kilometer from Islamabad and 40 kilometers from Murree. On the way to Muzaffarabad via Muree Kohala, it is only 3 kilo meters for from Kohala Bridge that is entry point in AJK.The historical importance of this lodge which was built in Dograa’s rule, is that, in 1944 Quaid-e-Azam, founder of Pakistan stayed here when he was returning from Siri Nagar.That particular chair is still present in this lodge on which Quaid was seated.Dograas rulers used to stay here while traveling between Rawalpindi and Siri nagar. AJK government  has repaired it and now it has seven rooms for tourists. In summer season cool breeze  from river Jahlem gives a pleasant touch.This historical resort is a memorable place for tourists.
